This Piece here is by Herbert Bayer in 1926. This is a modernist piece because of the simple use of colour, layout, and text. Form following function. The type is legible and so is the point of the poster. This was designed to celebrate Kandinsky's 60th birthday.
Post Modernism
There is so much happening in this magazine cover in terms of colour, shape and imagery. The cover doesn't really convey a message or meaning. Its just a series of shapes and images thrown over each other to create this interesting collage.
