Egoiste

Having two seperate nets that make one when put together I find is a nice way of creating a box. To open you have to slide the larger box off the smaller one. I think that this box would have to be a strong and sterdy stock which I fear we will not be able to print on. Unless we screen print actually. Where can I find a think box like stock? Thats something I must look into.

Two Hoots

This is a possiblity but one I'm not too sure I want to go with. have holes in the packaging means you can see the product which does make the packaging more visually pleasing. This is example is made out of cardboard and that of course is something I will not want to use as stock. I need to find something much more appealing and professional.

Two Roads to Courage

The two examples above are ones I would dream of accompilsing. Having wooden packaging makes any product seem so much more appealing. It adds wealth and age to the product making it seem like an antique. Take the top example, one easy way to get text and image onto this box would be to use stickers. This at the moment seems like it would be a very delicate process.

Key

I like how the bottle can easily slip into its packaging and stay secure. It doesn't seem that hard either from looking at it. By measuring the dimensions of the bottle you should be able to work out how to make that sort of net.

Crown

This is example is very similar to the first example I found. In order to open you must take the box apart to end up with to separate open boxes. This reminds me of most phone boxes you get on purchase. Question is does this sort of packaging make everyone thing of a phone box? I'm beginging to think that a really simple form of packaging is the best thing to do. In fact when looking at examples of cologne and perfume boxes I am finding just that.

Mens Cologne Packaging

Above are some good examples of very stylish and conventional mens cologne appearing in very simple packaging. I do want to make packaging that will make the product itself stand out but is that the most important aspect of this breif? Maybe making simple a simple product is the right thing to do. Take the Armani Code packaging for example, it looks appealing and its formed of a very simple net. The next thing I am going to do is find a book that will show me lots of different types of packaging and how I can make the box through diagrams of the net.

Net- What needs to be on the packaging?

All in all packaging for mens cologne and womans packaging is very simple and clean. But what about the stuff that HAS to be there? I managed to find this example through google images and I feel is a good example. There is the main logo, copyright, bar code, i think the ingredient for the cologne is on the far right and then at the bottom of the main part of the packaging are some random numbers I really know nothing about.
