Context of Practise Part TWO// Website Inspiration Secondary Research

Alexandre Desjardins

Even though my mock up for my website will not contain any photography, I am interested by the layout and shapes used to put this website together. The cut between the image and the background is what I most like. Gives the idea that the background and text is layered on top of the photography.
From first glance I have no idea what the website is trying to sell or communicate but its the design and layout that really advertises this website to me.

I choose this one because of the layout and it has the same colour code as my booklet. I like the squar tecnique used and this is something I want to adopt in my layout for my mock up. When you hoover you mouse over an image the text will come up explaing what it is you are looking at.

Just a simple example here, I mostly admire the vector shape on to of the image, for some reason this sort of thing really appeals to me and is very effective. Not so much a fan of the left hand side with all the tabs, I guess it suites the websites clean and simple look. The second example however really caught my eye, I love how budy and exciting it is because of how much is going on. You would think there is too much going on but it works so well, seems like there is so much to look into. I prefer this example to the first example, everything about it works better and layout seems for attractive.

Again its the layout of this website that I most admire, Im guessing that when you click on one of these images it links you to the photo or another part of the website. From here I can'e see but the header looks interesting, it looks like of you click on it its scrolls down to revel maybe a home page or something along those lines.

Very simple layout yet very effective layout and this is very pleasing to look at.

I visited the actual website and it was very easy to navigate and get though. Even though I am just doing a mock up and don't really need to think about how easy my website will be to navigate through it is of course still nice to see how websites have been put together. "Nice One I Like" is a place of webdesign inspiration forweb designers or those who'd like to be one."

Again very simple layout and  looks very easy to navigate. The plus and minus take you through images of work while the text in the middle changes and explains what the image is about.

American Airlines

Here are a couple of screen shots that I took from a post on Pinterest of the american airlines website. First of all the design seems odd for such a website, it looks very creative and from the first look you could think it was for something completely different. When going onto the easy jet website for example it has a much different feel about it and its much more formal. Putting that aside I very much like these examples.  The icons used are good at getting a point across. If it just said Paris and there was no illustration of a plane you wouldn't get the same effect.
